In an update issued at 1:34 p.m. CST on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, the weather service said the heavy-rain event has been extended from early Monday into early Tuesday. Regional rainfall estimates have increased since Friday, from 1 to 3 inches to 1 to 4 inches, with isolated higher totals. San Antonio is still forecast to receive about 1.5 to 2 inches. Forecasters said rain will generally be light to moderate, with occasional heavier downpours. Sunday into early Monday remains the primary period of concern for localized flooding in Bexar County. The weather service said minor rises in local creeks and drainage channels are possible. The National Weather Service said there is up to a Level 2 of 4 risk for heavy rain capable of flash flooding and minor river and creek rises across the western two-thirds of South-Central Texas from this weekend into the start of next week. While rainfall rates are expected to remain mostly manageable, forecasters warned that any storms could produce locally heavier rates that may result in flooding. Potential impacts include isolated street flooding, hazardous low-water crossings, rapid runoff in flood-prone areas during heavier downpours, and reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions. For Monday into early Tuesday, the weather service said there is up to a Level 1 of 4 risk for heavy rain capable of causing flash flooding across portions of the Coastal Plains, with river and creek levels possibly remaining elevated. Forecasters said that the risk area may be expanded in upcoming outlooks. The next scheduled update from the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio is 2 p.m. Sunday.
